Mark Maggiori

Hailing from France, the birthplace of impressionism and romanticism, Mark Maggiori has made a cataclysmic impact in the United States with his evocative and striking images of the American West. First trained at Académie Julian in Paris and later picking up narrative skills at Walt Disney Animation France, Mark first made a name for himself with the metal band Pleymo, in which Mark served as the singer, photographer and music video director. After the band took a long hiatus, Mark came to America, the location of an important cross-country adventure undertaken when he was 15 years old. Once again on American soil, Mark made his home in Los Angeles and later in Kingman, Arizona, where his first cowboy paintings were completed after an influential trip to National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City.

What came next was an unprecedented rise through the ranks of American art, where Mark found monumental success during museum exhibitions, gallery shows and his famous print releases, which he broadcast to hundreds of thousands of viewers of his social media platforms. His works speak to the immense scale of the West, the quiet resilience of cowboy and Native American subjects who occupy these lands and the limitless sky that surrounds them. Another hallmark of his work are his clouds, which erupt from the horizon and fill his paintings in golden hues.

Mark is married to artist and designer Petecia Le Fawnhawk. He has three daughters. He splits his time between Taos, New Mexico, and Scottsdale, Arizona, and also spends two months a year in France and Italy.
