Fifth-generation Montanan, Timothy McOmber, is a self-taught painter whose work illustrates the old west. He earned his BFA in drawing and printmaking from Birmingham Southern College in Alabama. His painting style is heavily influenced by his background in screen printing. Timothy was encouraged to start painting in the Western genre by his grandfather, a wheat farmer in the golden triangle of Montana and a lifelong fan of local comic artist Stan Lynde.
While his art depicts the American frontier, the themes are influenced by music indicative of his time spent in the South. Timothy loves to explore new mediums and incorporates new and old ideas into his paintings through mixed media.
